Akron Register Tribune, Sept. 29, 1927 (Akron, IA)

MARRIED.

Coming as a pleasant surprise to many acquaintances was the announcement of the marriage of Carl Anderson, of this city, and Miss Edna Kjose, west of town. The nuptial ceremony was performed Saturday, September 17, at Sioux Falls, S.D., by Rev. A. J. Bergsaker, former pastor of the St. Paul congregation, Union county, S.D. Their wedding attendants were Miss Lillian Kjose, sister of the bride, and Ernest Anderson, brother of the groom.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Kjose, well known residents west of here in Union county, S.D. The groom formerly lived northwest of here in Union county, but for the past two years has operated a garage and battery station in Akron. He is a young man of sterling character and industrious habits. Both young people are deservedly popular in a wide circle of friends, who unite in wishing them a full measure of happiness and a long life-journey together.

Following their marriage they left on a honeymoon trip to the Black Hills, returning here Sunday. Monday evening a party of friends gave them a surprise reception and shower at the Legion Hall here, which proved a very pleasant affair. They were the recipients of many fine gifts.

Mr. and Mrs. Anderson will make their home in the W. H. Raver residence property.
