DEMISE OF RUSSEL BOWEN
Russel Bowen of this city died at Loyalton, whither he had gone about two weeks ago. He had been in poor health for sometime which gradually developed into consumption, but like all others thusly afflicted, thought he was getting better all the time, and would soon completely recover.
He was a very quiet and studious young man, had worked his way through the public schools here, and had recently taken up the study of law. He was 26 years of age and had been a resident of this city for a number of years.
The remains were sent here and the funeral services held at the M. E. church on Wednesday afternoon. Many people attended, and nearly all the high school pupils were present. The services were conducted by Rev. T. C. McIntire of the Christian church. It was a very impressive funeral.
