Cora Baker Coe

The remains of the late Mrs. Charles Coe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Baker, who died on Tuesday of last week at Eyebrow, Sask., reached this place [Stratford] the latter part of the week. Services were held on Sunday at the home of the parents of the deceased. Interment was made at Rondell cemetery.

Cora Baker was born miles southwest of this place on September 24, 1888, and was married to Charles Coe on September 22, 1907 at Brentford, S. D. Besides the bereaved husband, two sons are left, one two and one half years of age and the other a babe of three weeks.

Charles Coe and two little children accompanied the remains of the wife and mother from Saskatchewan to their final resting place at the cemetery five miles southwest of this place. Miss Sadie Duffy, a nurse residing in the vicinity of their home in Canada, who had been with Mrs. Coe during her recent illness, also came to care for the children on their journey. It is probable that the little ones will be cared for by friends and relatives of the family here for the next few years.

R. H. McCaughey of Mellette, and W. A. McCaughey of LaPrairie township, Spink county, cousins of the deceased were in attendance as also were many neighbors living in the vicinity of her girlhood home.
