Olive Louisa Compton 

Mrs. Olive Louisa Compton who was the wife of Harry Compton of Stratford, died in a local hospital as 12:30 Thursday night after an illness of only four days. Mrs. Compton was brought to Aberdeen Wednesday where she was operated on, death resulting last night. Her sudden death comes as a great shock to her many friends in the vicinity of Stratford. 

Mrs. Compton was born at Golconda, Nevada, October 25, 1875. She came to South Dakota with her parents in 1882 and since that time has been living near Stratford. She was married to Harry Compton on November 8, 1916. Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn her death her father, A. P. Robinson of Stratford, and three brothers, Almanzo, John and Arthur Robinson, all of Stratford. Mrs. Compton was a charter member of the Stratford lodge of Rebeccas, in which she has taken an active part. The funeral will be held from Fraternity Hall at Stratford, Sunday afternoon, at 2:30 o’clock. Burial will be at the Rondell cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Wilson funeral home until Sunday, when it will be taken to Stratford for interment.
