RONDELL PIONEER WOMAN DEAD
Mrs. Weibke Dunker Passes Away at Home of Son in Warner Early Today
Mrs. Weibke Dunker, One of the early residents of Rondell township, died in the home of her son, Otto Dunker, in Warner this morning at 1:30 o’clock, from dropsy, following an illness of some length. Funeral services will be held probably on Tuesday at the home, Rev. Kraushaar of this city officiating. Interment will be in Rondell cemetery.
Deceased was born January 1, 1829, in Germany, and lived there until 1887, when she came with her husband and family to America. Her husband, Henry Dunker, died nine years ago. Mrs. Dunker is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Stoltenberg and Mrs. W. B. Lawns, both of Stratford; Mrs. Max Kruse of near Warner, and Mrs. Braasch, residing in the old country. Five sons also survive, Otto, George, Henry and Fred of Warner and Hans of Germany. John, another son, died seven years ago.
The Dunker family came to Rondell township in 1887 and since then members have all lived in that part of the county. Mrs. Dunker was from sturdy German stock and the result is shown in the fact that she was eighty-five at the time of her death. The family is highly respected in the neighborhood and beloved by all. Since the death of Mr. Dunker, the deceased had been making her home with her son, Otto, and died at his home. She has over 100 grandchildren, and a few years ago held a family reunion at which all of the family was present, excepting those in Germany.
