Aberdeen Evening News Tuesday, Jul 20, 1926 

Mrs. Jacobina Jorgena Erickson, 66 years of age and the wife of Peter Erickson, passed away this morning at 12:30 a.m. after a sudden paralytic stroke. Mrs. Erickson attended church yesterday and visited with her daughter, Mrs. Albert Nelson of Groton, and appeared to be in her usual health when she was suddenly stricken and died in a few moments. Her sudden death comes as a great shock to her family and friends. 

She was born in Denmark and came to this country 44 years ago, locating at Watertown. Two years later she settled in Gem township where she has since made her home. She is survived by her husband; two sons, H. J. Erickson of Gem township, and A. C. Erickson of Portland, Oregon. One daughter, Mrs. Albert Nelson of Groton; and two sisters, Miss Minnie Jacobson of Seattle, and Mrs. H. P. Peleison of Kingsville, Washington. Another son, Herman, preceded her in death eight years ago. 

The deceased was a member of the Scandinavian Lutheran church of Gem township to which she devoted much time. No definite funeral arrangements have been made, pending word from relatives. The body was brought to the Huebl chapel preparatory to burial.
