DIED
Fletcher—At Aberdeen, Dak, Sunday, Oct 17, 1886, of Typhoid Fever.
Athen C. Fletcher, aged 19 years, 11 months. He was born in Chittenden, Vermont, Nov. 18, 1866. His early life was spent on a farm. He arrived in Dakota with his parents in may, 1885, and the family settled at Loyalton, Edmunds county. The family being in poor circumstances, he came to Aberdeen seeking work, and all of his earnings, above what was necessary for his personal expenses, were sent to his parents at Loyalton. He was their main support and his death is a calamity to them.
His mother and sister attended him during his final sickness and they are nearly wild with grief over the death of him on whom they have depended. His funeral was held at two o’clock this afternoon, and those who are acquainted with the circumstances, mourn that one so young should be stricken with the hand of death when just entering a useful manhood.
