JOHANN KRUEGER PASSES

Another Brown County Pioneer Goes to His Reward

Another Brown county pioneer has gone to his reward with the passing away of Johann Krueger at his home in Hanson township Friday morning. Mr. Krueger had not been in very good health for some time and his extreme age was against recovery.

Johann Krueger was born in 1837, in Germany. He came to this country when nineteen years of age, settling in Wisconsin where he resided until 1886, when he came to Brown county. He then took up a homestead in Hanson township and there made his home until his demise on Friday. At the time of his death he was but a few months short of seventy-nine years of age. He is survived by three sons, Paul L., of Groton and William and Carl Krueger, both of Hanson Township. Mrs. Krueger and eleven children have preceded him to the grave.

Funeral services were held in Hanson church, Rev. Burmeister officiating Sunday at 2 o’clock. Interment was in Hanson Cemetery.
