John E. Lawrence
No vicinity could have been more surprised than were the people of this village when they heard of the death of John E. Lawrence, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lawrence, on Tuesday afternoon.
“Jack,” as he was known to us, was the fourth victim of typhoid fever in the family, and although he had been ailing a couple of weeks he only took to his bed eight days before his death. The day before his death he was feeling nicely and no fears were entertained, but during the night some complications arose which caused his sudden death.
He was born in Kansas nearly nineteen years ago and when quite young his folks moved to Sully county, S. D. Six years ago they moved to Warner and have since resided here. He was the third child of the family and was very well liked by the community.
Funeral services were held here today at the house at 1 o’clock and at the church at 2 o’clock, Rev. Mr. Bromaghim officiating; interment at the Warner cemetery. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the country.
