Obituary

Wm. F. Maurer, who died on Thursday of last week, as mentioned by the NEWS, was buried with appropriate services conducted by Rev. Walther, of the German Lutheran church, on Saturday. The funeral was largely attended, the high and general respect in which the deceased was held impelling large numbers of his friends and neighbors to be present.

The immediate cause of the death of Mr. Maurer was heart disease. He was born in Wisconsin 33 years ago and emigrated to Brown county in 1882, locating on a farm three miles northwest of Aberdeen. He left a wife and three children, an aged mother, three brothers and one sister, viz: George A. Maurer, of Holden, Mo.; A. H. Maurer, of Eureka; R. J. Maurer, of Aberdeen, and Mrs. L. G. Marcos, of Eureka. For them much sympathy is felt.
