DEATH OF GRANDMA MOUNTAIN OCCURS

Mrs. Marilla Mountain, Mother of Grant and Harry Mountain of This City, Dead

“Grandma” Mountain is dead. Aberdeen mourns today the loss of another of its beloved pioneer women in the death of Mrs. Marilla Mountain, mother of Harry and Grant Mountain of Aberdeen, whose death occurred this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Etta Jeu Devine at Fargo, N.D.

The announcement of the death of Mrs. Mountain came to her sons in Aberdeen, Grant of the Elks’ club and Harry, labor foreman of the Milwaukee railroad, in the early morning and Grant Mountain left on the noon train for Fargo to assist his sister in arranging to bring the body to Aberdeen for interment. Mrs. Mountain had been a resident of Aberdeen for many years until about two years ago, when her daughter, with whom she had made her home for a long time, moved to Fargo.
