PIONEER DEAD
R. R. Rowlands, of Plant, died yesterday morning at 11 o’clock of dysentery at the age of seventy-two years. Mr. Rowlands was the father of R. Rowlands of this city. His disease was the result of a severe cold contracted at the time of the state fair. Mr. Rowlands was one of Brown county’s earliest settlers, having come here in the spring of 1879. He enjoyed a wide circle of acquaintance in the county, and was an exemplary citizen. He was a native of Wales. His funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. at his home in Plano, the burial to be at Bath.
