Aberdeen Weekly News Friday, Jan 16, 1891 

E. D. Rumery of Cambria township, a gentleman well known in Aberdeen and throughout the county, died Friday of a complication of diseases. He was old soldier, a member of Ralph Ely Post at Columbia and was buried by the post Sunday afternoon, the funeral services beginning at his late residence at 1 o’clock. 

Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Cole and other old friends of this city were in attendance. Mr. Rumery was one of the most upright citizens of the county and his death is mourned by hundreds of personal friends.
