Aberdeen Daily News Tuesday, Aug 11, 1914 

Carl Seymour, who has been lying in the hospital for the past three weeks suffering from a tumor of the brain and who was operated on yesterday as the last resort to save his life, died at 5 o’clock. The body was shipped this morning to Davis City, Ia., where funeral services will be held and interment made in Seymour cemetery just over the line in Missouri. 

Mr. Seymour had lived in Aberdeen for some time, being employed as bridge carpenter on the Milwaukee road. He formerly lived on a claim near Faith. He was 27 years of age, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Seymour. The cemetery in which he will be buried was established by his grandfather. The body was accompanied by his brother, Ivan Seymour.
