Cathleen Sheridan
Cathleen Sheridan, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Sheridan, died at 2:30 this Thursday morning, after a long illness. She was a victim of the dread scourge, consumption. In hope of a cure she was taken to Southern Colorado where she spent the last two winters. Finding climatic change to no purpose, at her earnest request she was brought back home in the early summer to await the inevitable.
She was born in this township [Columbia] 21 years ago last June. She taught school several terms before being stricken with the fatal malady, and was an unusually bright and attractive girl.
The funeral will take place Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and her remains will be borne to the grave in the Catholic cemetery here by six of her girl friends who have grown up with her from childhood.
