FALLS DOWN STAIRS DIES SOON AFTER
Tragic End of Young Farmer’s Wife Living South of James
Mrs. Louise Siek, Wife of William Siek, Victim of Sad Accident — She Leaves Besides Her Husband Six Children, Oldest of Whom is 13 Years of Age — Funeral Tomorrow
Groton, S. D., Jan 15 (Special to the American.)—Mrs. Louise Siek fell down stairs last night at her home about five miles south of James and within a few hours after the fall she died. Physicians attribute the cause of her death to an attack of heart failure following the shock of the fall. She was 38 years of age, and leaves a husband, William Siek, and six children, the oldest of which is 13 years and the youngest two years of age.
Mrs. Siek was not thought to be badly hurt at the time of the fall, as with the assistance of her son she was able to walk up stairs to the living room of the house. There she sank upon a sofa and called for a glass of water and while she was drinking it, she suddenly expired. The funeral will be held from the Evangelical church in this city tomorrow afternoon.
