Amanda Merten Stiles
The funeral of Mrs. Amanda Stiles, nee Merten, were held yesterday at 1 o’clock at the residence of her sister, Mrs. Jacob Britzius, and at 2 o’clock from the German Evangelical church. Services were conducted both in the German and English languages.
The death of the decedent took place in Ravinia township on February 24th, the cause being peritonitis. She was born March 9, 1870, at Lomira, Wis., and was married to W. H. Stiles on November 2, 1900. She leaves to mourn her loss a loving husband, an aged mother, three brothers, two sisters and an infant son seven days old. Mr. Stiles and family have the deepest sympathy of the people of the surrounding country in their bereavement.
