The Passing of Mrs. Catherine Sweet
Word reached the city Wednesday of the death Tuesday at Madison, Minn., of Mrs. Catherine Sweet, a pioneer of Brown county, who for years lived in Rondell township. Since the death of her husband, a few years ago, she had been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Ernie Baker, at Madison, Minn., and it was there the summons came.
The deceased is survived by, besides Mrs. Baker, by George and A. E. Sweet of this city, sons, and James, a son at Mansfield, also a sister, Mrs. Sam Halwick, of Mellette.
A host of friends in the county regret the passing of this estimable woman who was a true friend to all. George Sweet of Aberdeen left last evening to accompany the remains of his mother to Stratford where funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at 11 o’clock, with interment in Rondell cemetery.
