TIEGEN
Mrs. Helga Tiegen, a pioneer of Brown county, passed away at her home at Stratford early yesterday morning at the age of 86 years. Mrs. Tiegen had been a resident of Brown county for 40 years, coming here in 1884 and settling near Stratford. She was born in Norway. Her husband preceded her in death in 1897.
Mrs. Tiegen is survived by three sons, O. F. Tiegen of Stratford, Halvor Tiegen of the Philippine Islands and L. T. Burgett of Stratford, and two daughters, Mrs. R. E. Person, Dogden, N. D., and Mrs. D. W. Brophey, Harvey, N.D. as well as a sister, Mrs. Peter Collin of Echo, Minn. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at the home of the deceased in Stratford at 1 o’clock and at the Gem township church at 1:30. Rev. Lundley officiating.
Burial will be made in the cemetery of Gem township where Mrs. Tiegen lived for many years.
