Mrs. Mary Aylesworth, widow of the late Porter Aylesworth, died at her home in this city Friday morning at 1 o’clock after an illness of several months. The deceased was born in the state of New York on December 10, 1822, and was nearly 78 years of age. She was married to Porter Aylesworth in 1839 and with the family came to Aberdeen in the early days.
Since the death of her husband, she had made her home with Mrs. Thos. Burke, her granddaughter. The only living child is W. H. Aylesworth, father of Mrs. Burke. With her late husband Mrs. Aylesworth enjoyed the highest esteem of the people of Aberdeen, who will sincerely mourn her death.
