Minnie Overly Burton

The funeral of Mrs. W. E. Burton was held in the M. E. church, of which she was a member, Sunday at 11 a.m. The deceased was one of the early settlers of Brown county, and the high esteem in which she was held was evidenced by the large attendance at the funeral, the church being crowded. The casket was covered with exquisite floral designs.

Minnie Overly was born in Jackson, Ohio, in 1858. Early in the seventies she went to Minnesota where she married W. E. Burton, Aug. 26, 1877. She came to Dakota with her husband in the spring of 1882. Three weeks before her death she was attacked with cerebrospinal fever, and died Wednesday evening, March 16, 1892. She leaves a husband, three children and other relatives.
