Samuel Clark, one of Columbia’s earliest settlers was stricken with apoplexy Friday night and became unconscious soon after he was put into his bed and remained so until he died Monday night. Mr. Clark was 75 years old in March and had been very active all his life and a man well liked by all. He leaves two sons here, Freeman, with whom he lived, and Roy Clark, and other members of the family not in Dakota. The funeral will be held at the Congregational church today (Wednesday), Rev. H. G.
