Frank Mills Fisher

Frank Mills Fisher, an old time resident of Aberdeen, died Friday at Menominee, Wis., according to a telegram received here this forenoon. Mr. Fisher had been ill for a long time, but was supposed to have been on the road to recovery of late. He had been residing with Mrs. Fisher’s mother and sister since the tragic death of his wife about a year ago. Mr. Fisher resided in Aberdeen up to last year, when, on April 17, his wife was accidentally burned to death. At that time he moved to Menominee and had resided there since. He traveled for the Winston-Harper-Fisher company, a wholesale grocery concern of Minneapolis, out of Aberdeen up to the time of his removal.

The death of Mr. Fisher leaves but one member of the family alive, Miss Helen. The news of his death comes as a distinct shock to his many friends in this city. Mr. Fisher was a prominent Mason here and was a member of the following Masonic lodges: Aberdeen Lodge No. 38. A. F. and A. M.; Aberdeen Chapter No 14, R. A. M.; Damascus Commander No. 10., K. T.; Yeulduz Temple. A. A. O. N. M. S.

Funeral services for the late Frank M. Fisher were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Masonic temple, the Blue Lodge Masons having charge of the services. A large number of the admiring friends of the deceased were in attendance to hear the beautiful service and to show their love for the deceased brother. A special choir of Mr.s J. C. Schultz, Mrs. W. J. Hill and D. H. Lightner and John Drage furnished music, and were assisted by Mrs. Voedisch, accompanist. The Knights Templar furnished an escort to the funeral body and the pallbearers were A. W. Voedisch, A. M. Milligan, G. M. L. Erwin, E. D. McConnell, J. H. Jackson and C. N. Harris. Some of the most beautiful floral offerings were presented by the Masonic lodge, other orders of which he was a member and from admiring friends. A beautiful blanket from the Masonic orders, a beautiful design from the United Commercial Travelers and a special design from the firm for which he worked were especially beautiful. The body arrived in the city last evening from Wisconsin over the Milwaukee, being accompanied by Austin Fisher of St. Paul and Fred Fisher of Watertown, N. Y., brothers of the deceased; Miss Helen Fisher, daughter, and Miss Ann Van Wei of Chicago, and Mrs. Earl Bently of Courtland, N. Y., both sisters of the late Mrs. Frank M. Fisher. The body was met at the depot by members of the Masonic bodies and was escorted to the temple where it lay in state until the funeral this afternoon.
