Mrs. Henry Frank, wife of ex-Alderman Frank, proprietor of the Dakota House on the north side of the city, died about 8 o’clock on Saturday evening, March 13th. The funeral services were held from the Catholic church at 10 o’clock tomorrow, the 16th inst., with burial in Sacred Heart cemetery.
Mrs. Frank would have been 51 years of age had she lived until the 25th of this month. Dropsy of the heart is the disorder to which her death is ascribed. She was ill for an extended period and spent the past four months in bed, suffering and enduring a great deal without complaint. Her friends and physician have been satisfied for weeks past that her hold upon life was a very feeble one at best, and little surprise was therefore felt when the news of her demise was first circulated in the city.
She left a son and daughter by a former marriage. Both have reached mature years, but the latter by reason of a defective vision was especially dependent upon a mother’s care and help, and will sorely mourn the departure of her best counsellor and friend. Mrs. Frank came to Dakota with her husband in April, 1883, and did her full share in the successful conduct of the hotel business which Mr. Frank immediately established. She was in all respects a very estimable lady, and large numbers to whom she endeared herself in life will long mourn her death.
The afflicted husband and daughter and other relatives have the sincere sympathy of all their acquaintances.
