Miss Fannie Garland, aged 17 years, youngest daughter of Jon. Garland, of this city, died on last Friday evening, Nov. 30th, of pneumonia, after an illness of about two weeks. John Garland was one of the first to move his family to Aberdeen, in the summer of 1881, and Miss Fannie has ever since been a great favorite with our citizens. Her sprightly disposition made her the life of the circle in which she moved, and her death cast a gloom over our city. The family have the heartfelt sympathy of the whole community in their sad bereavement. The funeral took place from the family residence on Third Street, last Sunday morning at ten o’clock, and was very largely attended by our citizens.
