Aberdeen Daily News Monday, Jan 17, 1921 

M. S. Long farmer, who has made his home in the vicinity of Bath for a number of years, died there at 3 o’clock on Sunday afternoon, of heart diseased, aged 53 years. Deceased was a native of Canada and removed there from to South Dakota in 1888, locating upon the farm, which was the scene of his life’s activities and his final hours and which he, by industry and intelligent effort had brought to a high state of cultivation. 

He is survived by a widow and six children who are Amos D., Earl and Paul, all residents of Bath, Mrs. George Massie of Cincinnati, O. Mrs. Frank Chapman of Aberdeen and Miss Margaret Losg of Bath. The children, Mrs. Archie Bean of Bath and infant child, preceded him in death. A brother George Long, Toronto, Canada, also survives. 

Deceased was held in high esteem by a wide circle of friends in this section of the state and information to his death will be received with regret. Arrangements for the funeral have not been announced.
