Joseph Mackey, whose home was in Parma, Mich., died at the county hospital Monday afternoon of typhoid fever. He was only 18 years of age and came to Brown county in August, since which time he had been working in the vicinity of Putney. He was taken sick about three weeks ago and had been in the hospital about one week. His brother, George Mackey, arrived before the boy’s death and started with the remains for Michigan.
