William Marscheider Found Lifeless — Died While Doing His Chores
Groton, S. D., Feb 7— (Special to the American.)— William Marscheider, a farmer residing on one of the McKenzie farms near this city, was found last evening dead in the cow stable of his barn. The discovery was made about 4 o’clock in the afternoon when the man had been dead nearly two hours. The last seen of him alive was when he went to the barn about 2 o’clock in the afternoon to do some work.
The funeral will be held from his late residence this afternoon and the burial will be in the Groton cemetery. The deceased had lived in this vicinity for many years and was about 55 years of age at the time of his death. He leaves a large family of children and a wife. The coroner pronounced his death due to heart failure.
