She removed to America in 1850, settling in Walworth county Wisconsin. Two years later she was married to Mr. Burton who, together with two sons and four daughters, all of mature age, survive her.

In 1856 Mr. and Mrs. Burton moved to Minnesota, and in 1882 to Dakota, settling upon their present homestead. The children are R. K. and W. E. Burton, well known and successful farmers of the county; Mrs. Burroughs, of Great Falls, Mont.; Mrs. Borden, of Buffalo Lake, Minn.; Mrs. Wilkinson, of Oklahoma; and Mrs. Chalcraft, of Bath. The deceased was a member of the Methodist church.

She had been an invalid for six or seven years, but bore her sufferings with much Christian fortitude. The funeral services were held from the Methodist church at Bath this (Thursday) afternoon at 1:30 o’clock and the burial took place in the Bath cemetery
