Died — On Sunday afternoon, July 6, 1890, at 2 o’clock, at the residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Cassells, on Second avenue east, in the city of Aberdeen, Miss Louise Cassells.
Miss Cassells was born June 12, 1871, and was therefore a little more than nineteen years of age on the date of her death. At the age of thirteen she became a member of the M. E. church and has been a faithful attendant on the services of the church and an observer of its ordinances.
On June 8, 1888, when seventeen years of age, she graduated with honor from the Aberdeen high school. Seeking a higher education she last autumn became a student at Evanston college near Chicago. In January while at Evanston she was attacked by the disease which ended her life and from which she never even temporarily recovered. Through all her long and painful illness she was a patient and cheerful sufferer regarding the approach of death as that of a welcome visitor, yet in calm resignation awaiting the summons home.
In the hour of death her bedside was surrounded by all the members of the family except one brother, Ernest E. Tassels, who is hourly expected to arrive from Hill City, S.D., J. F. Cassells of Andover, Herbert W. Cassels, of Hill City, S. D., and Wm H. Cassels, of Tacoma, Wash. The funeral services were conducted from the M. E. church Monday at 10 o a.m. Rev. W. H. Selleck performing the sermon.
