BLAINE COUNTY’S CHAIRMAN PASSES 

Bellevue, Dec. 28—Adolph W. Heckert, 73, chairman of the Blaine County board of commissioners, died Sunday in Long Beach, Calif., where his daughter Doras, formerly a nurse at the Sun Valley hospital, had taken him in November for his health. He had suffered from a heart ailment for some time. Mr. Heckert was a member of the Grange and had served for many years as a member of the Glendale school board. At the time of his death he was serving his third term as a member of the Blaine County board of commissioners. 

He was born in Mayville, Wis., Oct. 28, 1870, but moved with his parents to Groton, S.D., when a boy. On July 8, 1894 he married Magdalene Dobberphule in Brown county S. D. 

The family moved to the Bellevue area in 1907 and has farmed there ever since. Mr. Heckert’s wife died last February and he has been in ill health ever since. In addition to his daughter, Doras, he leaves four sons, Oscar, Bellevue; Theodore, Heber, Utah; George, Boise, and Sgt. Elwin Heckert, Camp Shelby, Miss.; and a sister, Mrs. Ella Scharff, Bellevue. A daughter, Mrs. Esther Shipp, died a number of years ago. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Presbyterian church here.
