Eldon L. “Pete” Mayer, 62, Wakonda, died Saturday, October 5, 1985 in Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls.
Mr. Mayer was born April 16, 1923, in Wakonda. He married Anna (Katy) Fritz on November 12, 1964, in Wyoming. Pete and Katy owned and operated the E & K Cafe in Wakonda, for the past four years.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, Esther Mayer, Wakonda; a son, Jerald, Wakonda; a daughter, Mrs. Don (Helga) Jackson, Casper, Wyoming; three grandchildren; a brother, Warren, Vermillion; two sisters, Mrs. Burdette (Marilyn) Lindblom, Mesa, Arizona, and Mrs. Bud (Vera) Johnson, Wakonda.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the United Methodist Church, Wakonda. Burial was in the Union Cemetery, rural Wakonda.
