Floyd Sherman
IRENE— Floyd (Jack) Sherman, 63, Irene, died Friday in Mayfield Store, Irene.
Mr. Sherman was born April 7, 1922, in rural Centerville. He married Phyllis McHenry on Nov. 6, 1944. They farmed in Wakonda and Irene area until 1974, when they bought the Mayfield Store.
His wife died in May 1984.
Survivors include four sons: Jim and Dick, of Irene; Terry, Boston, Mass.; and Tim, of Yankton; eight grandchildren; one brother, Robert Sherman, of Mission Hill; two sisters: Iris Hall, rural Wakonda; and Helen Gasper, of Yankton.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday in the Calvary Lutheran Church, Irene. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, rural Wakonda.
Prayers will be said at 2 p.m. today in the Hansen Funeral Home, of Irene.
