Adam Schoenefeld, born in Germany, came to the US from Russia. He married Anna Kortmeyer.

Adam homestead in Spring Valley Township in Gregory County in 1904 on 156 acres, which increased to 390 acres over the years. Wayne and Barb purchased the 390 acres in 1967 from Adam.

Wayne was the 3rd generation but 2nd owner in 100 years. There are 1775 acres owned plus rented ground in operation today. Wayne and Barb have 4 sons, Bruce, Clayton, Jason
and Weston. Clayton is involved in the operation today.
