I am working on my husband's genealogy and we are trying to find information about his mother and grandparents. I understand that Lead South Dakota is in Lawrence County therefore, I am sending this request to you. We are really stumped. His grandparents were: Andy (Antti) Oscar and Aino Maria SEIKKULA. His mother was Wilma SEIKKULA. His uncle was Wilho SEIKKULA. Aino Maira SEIKKULA's Petition for Naturalization said that she was married to Andy Seikkula on October 23, 1909 in Lead South Dakota. Antti (Andy O.) SEIKKULA came to the United States from Finland 7/25/1903. Aino Maria SEIKKULA came to the United States from Finland 6/24/1906. His grandmother's obituary says "In 1907 she came to Lead, S.D., and married Andrew O. SEIKKULA in Lead on October 26, 199. They moved to Red Lodge in 1910." We are trying to find a copy of their marriage license. We know that his grandparents and uncle died in Red Lodge Montana. We know that his mother died in Butte Montana. Wilma SEIKKULA's death certificate lists Red Lodge Montana as her birth place however, Red Lodge has no record of her birth. Is there a record of the birth of Wilma Seikkula in Lead, S.D.? His uncle's wife (who is still alive) said she thought they lived in Lead South Dakota before Red Lodge Montana. Any help you can give us will be appreciated, Robert and Rebecca Pohto
