Doc Dreher Loses Nerve Over Dead Bodies  1945
Albert "Doc" Dreher, writing to relatives at Kennebec, stated that he is in a hospital in England.
He drove a truck to the front lines and finally lost his nerve and was taken to the hospital for a while. Driving over dead bodies was too much for him in the battlefield in Belgium, he stated.
His brother, Francis, is a merchant marine and has made four trips across the Atlantic taking food and soldiers across and can tell of heart-rendering scenes of old men and children begging for food.
Another brother, Glen, is a Private in a Texas bombing plant.
