    Norman L. Houser, aviation machinist's mate, first class, of Reliance has been transferred  from the Honolulu detachment of Air Transport Squadron 12 of the Naval Air Transport Service to the states for further duty. The squadron maintains aircraft of the far-flung Naval Air Transport Service which daily sends planes over 20,000 miles of air routes from Oakland, Calif., to Tokyo, Guadalcanal and the Philippines.
    Each month for the last four months, the service's planes have been carrying more than 20,000 passengers and 125,000,000 pieces of mail in addition to hundreds of tons of high priority cargo.
