  Lester, Duane                                                  July 1945

Sgt. Duane Lester stationed with the army of occupation in southern Germany, recently sent his wife at Reliance a box of souvenirs. Included in the collection were bayonets, coins, parachutes, perfumes, cap, belt, flag and a banner 16 feet long. Sgt. Lester was held a prisoner for 20 hours during the month of April. A brother, Cpl. Clinton, is also in Germany and the two have met several times.
