Hillside Cemetery Hillside Cemetery is a long abandoned farm cemetery that has only six marked graves. A cemetery sexton has not been identified so no official records have been checked to see if there are additional unmarked graves, it would not be surprising if there are a very few.

This information was prepared by Ken Tiahrt ([email protected]) and may be freely copied by individuals and non-profit organizations for their private use. A special thank you is given to Christin Bartels for the photographic work. Any other use, including publication, storage in a retrieval system, or transmission by electronic, mechanical, or other means requires written approval. 1. A Cemetery Map An aerial photo showing the cemetery in relationship to the adjacent McCook County Roadway, 432nd Avenue, gives the user a physical setting. 2. A List of Burials A listing of the burials at Hillside Cemetery – Section 13 – Pearl Township – McCook County, gives the individual names in alphabetic order. This listing also gives the date of birth and date of death when available. Unfortunately, those burials without grave markers are not included because the official burial list was not available. 3. Photos of Grave Monuments Each photo is matched to the individual listed on a given line entry. The
accuracy available with the records in this document is acceptable for most
genealogical purposes. Use your browser return icon to exit from a photo and go back
