DIED In Rapid City, Sunday, December 25, 1900, Rose beloved wife of Edward Boyd, of pneumonia.

The people of Rapid City were shocked Sunday morning to learn of the sudden death of Mrs. Edward Boyd, few even of her nearest friends, having heard of her illness. She was sick only two days, and no one thought she was seriously ill until early Sunday morning. Her death was painless, as she went to sleep, and no efforts availed to awaken her.

She leaves a husband and three young children to mourn her loss. Mrs Boyd was possessed of a lovely character; patient and tender with her family, a loyal wife, loving mother and kin d friend. To know her was to respect and love her, Her loss is a severe one to her love ones and her place can never be filled.

The Funeral was held yesterday afternoon in the Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Straeten conducting it according to the usages of that Church, of which Mrs. Boyd was a consistent member . Sincere sympathy is extended to the bereaved family and relatives.
