We recently heard from Lisa Teager Schirmer the grand daughter of Charles and Lydia
She shared that Charles had came from Watertown, He was the farmhand of
SW Bowman and Charles Homestead in 1885 next to the James River, he
eventually ended up with around 300 aces at one point and Lydia also
homestead pretty much next door to him in 1888.
They had several
children, the first three passed away when they were young and are
buried at a cemetery there. Sadie, Bertha and Otto share the same
gravesite. Their other children were George, Henry, Amzi, Mary,
Josephine, Lydia, Alice and William (William) is my Great Grandfather.
In 1903 Lydia Beardemphl patent the dishwasher and I believe in 1906
they left Ashton to live in Des Moines, Washington and later Tacoma,
Washington. I am pretty sure George, Henry and Amzi lived in Ashton with
their families and the rest of the children went to live in Washington.
Lisa will be providing additional information and has created a
Fcebook group at Descendants
