Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery The Catholic church in Dolton was built and dedicated in 1908, it was named Our Lady of Lourdes since it was the 50th anniversary of the Apparition of Our Blessed Lady at Lourdes, France. In 1914 a house was purchased to serve as a rectory and used for this purpose until sold in 1947. The parish operated a parochial school from approximately 1910 to 1915. In 1932 it became a mission parish to St. Stephens Catholic Church in Bridgewater. The Dolton church building was sold in 1966 and the property was donated to the city of Dolton and used as a ball field and park land. The Catholic Cemetery property was donated by John Kappenman and after 1910 there have been frequent burials through the early 2000's.
