RECEIVE NEWS OF THE DEATH OF A BROTHER.

Mrs. C. R. McDonald and Mrs. G. E. Anderson received a telegram Wednesday evening telling them the death of their oldest brother, Arthur Edson, of Alcester, S.D. The news came as a shock to the sisters as they had visited their brother on Sunday, and while he was suffering from an attack of pleurisy, still no one thought that his condition was critical.

Mr. and Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. McDonald left last night for Alcester. The Andersons will return today, and all members of the two families will attend the funeral which will be held either Friday or Saturday.

The late Mr. Edson was in business with his father, the firm name being Edson & Son. He was married and had two little daughters.

He is also survived by his father, three brothers and two sisters. They are Wendell Edson of California, Ray of Chicago, Dewey of Minneapolis, and Mrs. C. R. McDonald and Mrs. G. E. Anderson of this city. The late Mr. Edson had visited here several times and had made many friends who will extend sincerest sympathy to the grief stricken family.
