Three young boys took Charlie BICE’s boat and went down the river, but were apprehended by the Charles Mix County Sheriff. The boys were brought back to Oacoma where Judge GREENE gave them a sentence of 30 days of hard labor or $100 fine. The boys took the jail sentence as they did not have $100.  July 22 1909  Arg

Rev. George E. BROWN, formerly of Oacoma, and Miss Mary E. LEWIS were married in Mapleton, Minn. on June 22. He is well known to all of Oacoma . June 29  1905 Gaz

The salary for town clerk was $100 for the first year and was paid quarterly. The salary of the town treasurer was $25, paid quarterly. F.I. SHEFFER is the town treasurer. Michael MORRIS and Miss Martha DUFNER, both of Lyman County,  were married   in Chamberlain yesterday morning at St. James Catholic Church.  Aug 31 1909  Gaz

DUNNING

E.H. DUNNING and Mrs. Dunning will be moving to Lemmon where their son lives. He sold his farm. Their roadhouse is located on the correction line and was one of the landmarks in pioneer days before the railroad came. May 6 1909 Arg

Three young boys took Charlie BICE’s boat and went down the river, but were apprehended by the Charles Mix County Sheriff. The boys were brought back to Oacoma where Judge GREENE gave them a sentence of 30 days of hard labor or $100 fine. The boys took the jail sentence as they did not have $100.  July 22 1909  Arg
