Emma E. Blake
We believe that it occurs but extremely seldom, when an entire community is so touched and impressed with the passing of one from their midst as was evident last Friday morning, when the sad news spread that Emma Blake was no more. She was of a rather quiet disposition, faithful in the performance of her every duty and without reproach in her life and character.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at one o’clock, in the Sandham Memorial church conducted by Rev. A. Haverkamp, assisted by Rev. E. F. Koerlin, and interment was made in the Rose Hill cemetery at Parker. The church building was crowded to the very doors, so that many were unable to obtain even standing room.
