Mrs. M. S. Blake died at the family home here on the morning of Dec. 12 after an illness of three weeks, caused by a stroke of paralysis. She was a native of Geneva, Ill. Her husband was a pioneer of Parker. Her maiden name was Beck. They have lived here in Monroe [SD] about 20 years.
They were married at Parker [SD] in 1885. The funeral was held in the Reform church on the 14th, Rev. Roggen officiating. Interment was given in the family lot in Rosehill cemetery at Parker.
Husband and five children survive her, the children being William of Alberta, Canada; Harry and Albert who are in the U. S. Army; Anna, Helen and Elsie.
