Mrs. Collins, Gt.-Grandma for 78, Dies
85-Year-Old in S.D. for 80 Years—Leaves 35 Grandchildren

Mrs. Grant Collins, 85, of 1706 North Sherman ave., died Thursday morning at a local hospital after an illness of five weeks.

A resident of Sioux Falls for 26 years, Mrs. Collins had lived in South Dakota for 80 years.  She was born January 7, 1865, in New York state and came to a farm near Centerville, S.D. with her parents when she was only 5 years old.

The former Jenny Mary Millage married Frank Darrow, January 30, 1884.  He died in 1922. She married Mr. Collins May 2, 1931, at Canton, and lived on farms near Canton and in Minnehaha county before coming here.  She was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle.

Survivors include the widower; five daughters, Mrs. John Heasley of Sioux Falls, Mrs. Tom Sherman of Peru, Nebr., Mrs. Ira Sherman of Yankton, Mrs. George Severance of Aberdeen and Mrs. William Wells of Spokane, Wash.; five sons, Ralph Darrow of Weston, Ore., Earl Darrow of Sioux Falls, Ernest and Frank Darrow, both of Centerville, S.D. and Harvey Darrow, New Ulm, Minn; 35 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters, and one brother, Virgil Millage of Hartford.

MRS. COLLINS DIES
Mrs. Grant, Sioux Falls, S.D.,  mother of Tom Sherman, died at a Sioux Falls hospital last Thursday after an illness of five weeks.  Mrs. Collins had been a resident of South Dakota for 80 years.  She was born January 7, 1865, in New York state.

The former Jenny Mary Millage, she married Frank Darrow in 1884. He died in 1922. She married Mr. Collins in 1931 and lived on farms njer Canton before moving to Sioux Falls.  She was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle.

Survivors include the widower, five daughters and five son, 35 grandchildren, 78 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services were held in Sioux Falls Monday morning.  Attending from Peru, Nebraska, were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sherman, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sherman, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Sherman, Mrs. Carl Henry and Janice, Mrs. Ray Allgood and children.  The group, including Mrs. Tom Sherman who had been in Sioux Falls the previous two weeks, drove back to Peru Monday evening.
