Funeral services were held for Edna Darrow at 10 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2002 at the Federated United Church of Christ in Centerville. Edna Erickson was born Nov. 4, 1903 west of Viborg, to Anton and Louise (Christenson) Erickson and died July 16, 2002 at the Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls at the age of 98. She graduated from Viborg High School in 1923. She then attended The University of South Dakota.
On May 29, 1924 she married Ernest C. Darrow. The couple resided in Centerville. Mr. Darrow died on April 15, 1987. Mrs. Darrow then moved to the Vermillion Care Center in 1987 and in 1996 she moved to the Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls and resided there until the present time. She was a member of Federated United Church of Christ in Centerville.
Among her hobbies and interests, Mrs. Darrow enjoyed playing the piano and keyboard, card playing and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ernest; one daughter, Lois Kellicut; one granddaughter, Sutelus Darrow; and two sisters, Margaret Bywaters and Alma Barrett. Survivors include her daughter, Blanche Johnson of Sioux Falls; one son, Clyde Darrow and his wife Beverly of Blancherville, WI; six grandchildren, Betty Harmon and her husband, Elwood, of Sioux Falls, Deb Harris and her husband, Jim, of Sioux Falls, Rick Darrow and his wife, Lois, of Sioux City, IA, Claudie Kellicut and his wife, Elaine, Kristi Burchfield and her husband Mike, and Vickie Corwin and her husband, Bob, all of Durand, IL; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren
