Freeman Pioneer Stricken at 90
Freeman, S.D., March 22—
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon for Mrs. C.M. Nielsen Overgaaard, 90, who died this week in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rueben Hansen, Spring Valley township, where she has made her home for a number of years.
Services will be held in the Hansen home at 1:30 p.m. and at the Spring Valley Lutheran Church, at 2 p.m.
Born Jan. 14, 1862, she married C.M. Nielsen Overgaard, April 8, 1882. They emigrated to America the same year and settled on a homestead where they obser4ved their silver and golden wedding anniversaries. He preceded her in death in 1932.
Surviving children are: Mrs. Sena Johansen, Parker; Mrs. Charles Barger, California; Mrs. Hansen, Freeman; Arthur, Irene SD; Alfred, Montana; Henry, Viborg; and Charley, Hartford; 42 grandchildren, 96 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
