Mrs. Christina Rasmussen
LUVERNE, Minn.—Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Engebretson Funeral Home here and at 2 p.m. at the Bethany Lutheran Church at Viborg for Mrs. Christina Rasmussen, 83. She died in a local hospital, Wednesday.
Christina Rhode was born Aug. 31, 1883, at Fremont, Neb., where she was married to Chris Rasmussen on July 6, 1901. They lived in Fremont and the Viborg, S.D. communities before moving to Luverne, Minn. in 1943.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Jake VanVoorst, Luverne, and Mrs. Erwin Jensen, Viborg.

Two Services Conducted For C. Rasmussen
Mrs. Christina Rasmussen, 83, was interred in Rose Hill cemetery, Viborg, S. D., Saturday afternoon, January 14.
Funeral services were held at 10 a. m. at Engebretson Funeral Home with Rev. A. C. Schmalz officiating and a second service was held at Bethany Lutheran Church, Viborg, in the afternoon. Rev. Noel Vold officiated.
Mrs. Rasmussen died at the Lutheran hospital January 11, following a five-month illness. She had been a resident of the Mary Jane Brown home since September.
Pallbearers were Orlando Skattum, George Carsrud, Ronald Jensen, Lyle Jensen, Shomer Jensen, and Verne Alstiel. Engrebretson Funeral Home made arrangements.
Mrs. Rasmussen was born Christina Rhode at Fremont, Neb., on August 31, 1883, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Corfax Rhode. She attended school in Nebr. She married Chris Rasmussen at Fremont, Neb., on July 6, 1901. Mr. Rasmussen died February 4, 1943.
She had lived at Fremont, Neb., and at Viborg, S. D., before coming to Luverne in 1943. She was a former member of Bethany Lutheran Church at Viborg and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Luverne.
Surving her are two daughters, Mrs. Jake Van Voorst (Vera), Luverne, Mrs. Erwin Jensen of Viborg, S. D., and several grandchildren.
Her parents, husband, a son Earl, and infant son and infant daughter and several brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
